Case Study: Chick-fil-A in Alpharetta, GA
Challenge
During construction, the contractor discovered that multiple walls and other items were built in different locations from those shown in the drawings.
Process
Rather than tear out the incorrectly constructed items, the client asked us to make a point cloud scan of the construction to understand exactly what had been built, and to revise the Revit model and drawings to accommodate the existing construction.
Results
Construction schedule time was saved compared to removing and correcting the incorrectly located items. We adjusted drawings to accommodate the existing construction, meet code requirements, and satisfy design intent.
